Returns & Refunds

We want you to love what you receive. If something isn't right, we'll make it right — within fair limits. Here's exactly how our returns work.

1. When you can return
You can raise a return request within 7 calendar days of delivery if:
- The item doesn't fit (as long as it hasn't been worn beyond a trial).
- The item arrived damaged or defective.
- You received a wrong item or a wrong size.
- You simply changed your mind (see "unused and unwashed" below).
2. Condition of returned items
To accept a return, the item must be:
- Unused and unwashed.
- In its original packaging.
- With all tags, stickers, and hangers intact.
- Free of perfume, makeup stains, deodorant marks, or pet hair.
We may reject returns that don't meet these conditions, or offer a partial refund.
3. What cannot be returned
- Innerwear, socks, and other intimates (hygiene reasons).
- Items bought during clearance sale and explicitly marked non-returnable.
- Customised or altered pieces.
- Items returned after the 7-day window.
4. How to raise a return
- Email contact@sonkarfashions.com with your order number, the item(s) you'd like to return, and the reason. Include a clear photograph if the item is damaged.
- We'll respond within 24 business hours with either a reverse pickup schedule (if your pincode is serviceable for reverse pickup) or a self-ship address.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging and hand it over to the courier (or self-ship to the address we provide).
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we will confirm the refund over email.
5. Refund methods and timelines
Refunds are processed to the original payment method:
- UPI / card payments: credited back to the original account in 3–5 business days after inspection.
- Cash on Delivery orders: refunded to a bank account or UPI ID you provide, also within 3–5 business days.
Depending on your bank, the amount may take an additional 2–3 days to reflect in your statement.
6. Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or colour, please raise a return and place a fresh order — this way the new piece ships immediately instead of waiting for the return inspection.
7. Cancellations
You can cancel an order any time before it is shipped. Email us or call and we'll cancel and refund (for UPI-paid orders) the same day. Once an order has been dispatched, it needs to go through the return process instead.
8. Failed or deducted-but-not-confirmed UPI payments
If your UPI payment was deducted but your order was not confirmed, don't worry — your bank will auto-refund the amount within 3–5 business days. If that doesn't happen, email us with your transaction reference and we'll escalate it with MMADPay on your behalf.
9. Shipping charges on returns
If the return is because of our error (wrong item, damage, defect), we bear the courier cost fully. For change-of-mind or size returns, we may deduct a small reverse-pickup charge of ₹79 from the refund.
